Berlin: “Daphne & Apollo” mural in Kreuzberg

•   “Daphne and Apollo”, by Francisco Bosoletti πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· & Young Jarus πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦.
•   Commissioned by Urban Berlin for the “One Wall” project in 2018.
•   The mural appears on the south wall of an apartment building in Kreuzberg (Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg), facing Gitschiner Strasse and the Berliner U-Bahn Stammstrecke.
•   Characters from “Metamorphoses” by Roman poet and writer Ovid (Publius Ovidius Naso), written in Latin and published about 8 CE.

The mural is located between U-Bahn stations Prinzenstrasse and Kottbusser Tor. If you’d like to see the mural illuminated in natural light, it’s best to visit between 11am and 2pm (when the sun is at or near zenith).
