Cityscapes
Featured: East on King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong – 8 June 2012 (450D).
- Definition: visual appearance of a city or urban area; a city landscape; a picture of a city.
- Chinese: 城市景色
- German: das Stadtbild
- Spanish: el paisaje urbano
Over a ten-year timescale, glimpses of the following ten cities from around the world provide some perspective about the way I consider urban settings. Fact is compared to all-natural settings, I’m most comfortable inside the city: the larger the place, the better I can remain anonymous and observe. For the present purpose, I stayed away from the tried-and-true wide-angle shot, and went tighter with medium- or long-zoom glass.

I made all pictures above between 2008 and 2018 with a Canon Powershot A510 (A510), Canon 450D (450D), Canon 6D (6D1), and a Fujifilm X70 (X70); alle Fotoaufnahmen sind mit Wasserzeichen versehen worden. This post appears on Fotoeins Fotografie at fotoeins DOT com as https://wp.me/p1BIdT-d5Q.

So you’re a city-person, too! A beautiful collection here. I especially love your Cambridge shot. Great perspective.

Hi, Patti. Yes, I’m very much a city person, but like many, I also have a soft spot for mountains and oceans 😊 I was very fortunate to have visited Cambridge a couple of times in (early-) summer; it is a beautiful university town. Thanks for your comment and for stopping by!
