Fotoeins Friday: Innsbruck’s Triumphal Arch at 730am

It’s Saturday morning at 730am, and I’m on foot to Innsbruck train station. I’ve cut through the “Altstadt” (Old Town), and the bright morning sun makes the building colours “pop” surrounded by long shadows splayed to the sides. There isn’t much car traffic at this hour; only the city’s IVB buses and trams have begun their daily runs. I’d like to wait and watch how the morning light changes over time, but I have to catch an early S-Bahn train to Scharnitz.

I made the picture above on 12 May 2018 with a Fujifilm X70 fixed-lens prime and the settings: 1/640-sec, f/16, ISO1000, and 18.5mm focal length (28mm full-frame equivalent). This post appears on Fotoeins Fotografie at as
