Fotoeins Friday: RTW10, twenty

10 years ago, I began an around-the-world (RTW) journey lasting 389 consecutive days, from 24 December 2011 to 15 January 2013 inclusive.

10 May 2012.

The MailBoat company provides domestic interisland delivery of mail and cargo; residents and occasional visitors have also hopped on these boats for slow inexpensive transport between the islands. Docked at Potters Cay underneath the Sidney Poitier bridge, the brightly coloured MailBoat (NP 6397, Fiesta Mail) provides service between Nassau, New Providence and Freeport, Grand Bahama. From information provided by the Bahamian government (c. 2013), boats depart Nassau Mondays 1700h, Wednesdays 1700h, Fridays 1000h, with return-trips Wednesdays 0200h, Fridays 1000h, and Sundays at 1500h. One-way sailing-times are 8 hours in duration.

I made the image above on 10 May 2012 with a Canon EOS450D (Rebel XSi) and these settings: 1/250-sec, f/8, ISO100, and 18mm focal length (29mm full-frame equivalent). My thanks to the W. family for making possible my visit to the Bahamas. This post appears on Fotoeins Fotografie at fotoeins DOT com as https://wp.me/p1BIdT-m0S.
