Fotoeins Friday: RTW10, nineteen
10 years ago, I began an around-the-world (RTW) journey lasting 389 consecutive days, from 24 December 2011 to 15 January 2013 inclusive.
3 May 2012.
It’s my first visit to both Nassau and The Bahamas where friends from Vancouver live and work. Despite the small size and its distance from the mainland, I could get used to the constant tropical weather and the absolute lack of urban pace. I’m at Junkanoo Beach, and the view across the water to Nassau Harbour Lighthouse includes many pleasure craft in the harbour, as well as a number of swimmers in the shallow waters. Looking at this ten years on, I still marvel over the different shades of blue in both sky and water.
I made the image above on 3 May 2012 with a Canon EOS450D (Rebel XSi) and these settings: 1/320-sec, f/8, ISO100, and 47mm focal length (75mm full-frame equivalent). My thanks to the W. family for making possible my visit to the Bahamas. This post appears on Fotoeins Fotografie at fotoeins DOT com as https://wp.me/p1BIdT-lZu.
