Fotoeins Friday in the Munich Metro: Georg-Brauchle-Ring
I highlight the interiors of four U-Bahn metro stations in Munich, Germany:
6 November – Georg-Brauchle-Ring,
13 November – Lehel,
20 November – Marienplatz, and
27 November – Westfriedhof.
The above is a shot of the weekday morning 7am commute at Georg-Brauchle-Ring station which serves U-Bahn lines U1 and U7. I used this station to visit the ruins of the Olympiastadion ghost station and memorials to the massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics.
I made the above picture on 21 February 2017 (IG) with a Canon EOS6D mark1 and the following settings: 1-sec, f/22, 1SO500, and 24mm focal length. This post appears on Fotoeins Fotografie at fotoeins DOT com as https://wp.me/p1BIdT-ilk.

Lovely to see pictures of my home town, I haven’t been there since 2016.

Hi, Cornelia. I hope you can go back to your “Heimatstadt” very soon, especially when there’s more confidence in the safety of travel, both in the voyage and at the destination. I’m going to highlight Munich’s U-Bahn stations this month, and going through these images reminded me how much of Munich I have yet to explore, and how much of the city I want to see again. Thanks for stopping by and for your comment!

Thank you Henry, I had planned a trip this year, but Covid didn’t make it possible, hopefully next year. Thank you always for your great posts of my home town and the Alp villages.

Hi and thanks, Amy! I highlight this coming Friday what is perhaps one of my favourite U-Bahn stations in Munich; it is undoubtedly one of the city’s busiest.
