Above/featured: East on US route 60 in the Springerville Volcano Field, AZ – 19 Oct 2018.
Between 4 and 20 October 2018 inclusive, we embarked on a visit and modest driving trip through parts of New Mexico and Arizona. We began in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, drove west towards Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon, south to Tucson, and finally, northeast on the return to Santa Fe. With our first-time attendance at the Balloon Fiesta and first-time visit to the Grand Canyon accomplished, we’ve begun paving plans for a return in the near-future with possible examination of the Utah-Arizona border region and of additional track remnants from old US route 66.
