Fotoeins Friday: “Lines of communication” (UBC)
As alumnus of the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada, I’ve finally confirmed borrowing privileges from the university’s library. Once upon a time there was Sedgewick Library where I spent (and napped out) countless hours. In its place is the Walter C. Koerner Library where the Office of the (University) President is located. Shown above is the north-facing view across Main Mall towards the Clock Tower (left-centre) and the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre (centre, formerly The Main Library).
A sense of order, symmetry, lines in and around the proper places as well as the signage suggest good open lines with the rest of the university. Practice and implementation are rarely as straightforward …
I made this photo on 14 July 2015 with the Canon 6D, EF 24-105 L zoom-lens, and the following settings: 1/320s, f/14, ISO500, and 50mm focal length. This post appears on Fotoeins Fotopress at fotoeins.com as http://wp.me/p1BIdT-70j.
