15000th photo with the 450D in Berlin

Brandenburger Tor S-Bahn U-Bahn Berlin

  • 2317h CET, Christmas Eve 2010
  • Brandenburg Gate; S/U Brandenburger Tor (formerly, S-Bahn Unter den Linden) : Berlin, Germany
  • EOS 450D camera + EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens : 1/13s, f/4, ISO800, no tripod

This was a part of a set of photos I took up on the steps from the Brandenburger Tor S-Bahn/U-Bahn station at Pariser Platz. In all of the shenanigans, I realized I had just made photograph number 15000 with my camera.

    Absolutely stunning.

I have to say I have never had the desire to visit Germany. Though I am grateful to have seen the tree – I love Xmas 🙂

Hi, Lou. It depends on what you want to see when you’re out on travel, but I think Germany has lots to offer. I’m a big fan of the country, and it helps I’ve many friends there and I can converse (mostly) in the language. If you love Christmas, the ubiquity of Christmas markets throughout Germany should be a big plus for you, and that might be the hook to get you to visit the country. 🙂 Thanks for reading and for your comment!

Lou, I hope one day you’ll find yourself with an opportunity to visit Berlin and/or the rest of Germany, and find similar kinds of goodness as I have. 🙂 As for “talent”, that’s very kind of you; I’m still learning a great deal from truly great photographers out there.
